A Cold Day In Hell Before DAVID LEE ROTH Rejoins VAN HALEN
January 7, 2006New York Post is reporting that a source close to VAN HALEN says former singer David Lee Roth is deluding himself about replacing Sammy Hagar. "He might have talked to Alex [Van Halen, drums], but it's going to be a cold day in hell before he ever rejoins the band," an insider tells The New York Post. "I think he basically called Alex blind and asked about it. I just think that they are trying to trump up as much publicity for this [Roth's radio] show as possible."
In related news, media pundit Jeff Jarvis writes at his BuzzMachine blog: "David Lee Roth's show the second day was just as simultaneously mind-boggling and mind-numbing as the first. Time for the death pool: How long will this thing last? I say three months, only because it will take that long for Infinity to figure out how to save face. I say he's already doomed."
